Are the motors from a 1989 warrior and a 2003 warrior the same. I can get the 1989 motor cheap so will it work as a parts motor for my 2003. Thanks

I just bought a 2003 warrior and all worked great. My Daughter has been learning to ride it and now the clutch won't engage when put into 1st gear all it does is make a ratchetting noise when you give it gas. I hope it is a easy fix. Thanks,
