mike75925 that is very interesting. If anyone has any info about that please let us know.

    nasty starts and turn offs

DeadLast the information you gave is a bit wrong. The starter clutch is behind the Stator side cover bolted onto the flywheel. And if you are going to replace your starter clutch, you should also replace the gear that slips into the middle of the starter clutch.

    choke seal

just to clarify for future reference, this is about a 2000 warrior carb

    choke seal

Went to Yamaha today and they told me that this part DOES NOT belong on the carb and I got my money back. They said their parts fiche is WRONG and there is no seal inside the choke. This knowledge could be useful to someone in the future.

    choke seal

Carb rebuild, choke seal anybody know which way the choke seal goes into the carb? I'm rebuilding it and there wasn't an existing one in there. does it go in with the open side of the seal towards you or away from you? I can't seem to fit it in, it seems wider than the hole. I'm thinking it...

    Got my NEW CDI!

That is the manual I have but it says 171-209 ohms for the pickup coil. Why is Ricky stator telling me that 496 is normal and that the manual is wrong? Someone with a retail service manual would be of great assistance here...

    Got my NEW CDI!

I never tested it after it was already hot. I didnt know it was possible to get different readings and now that the bike is in pieces waiting for new parts, I guess I'll have to wait til it's back together to check. Does anyone have a Clymer or Haynes manual with the correct resistance for a '00...

    Accelerator Pump Question...

can anyone take a picture of the rubber cap on the accelerator plunger? Yamaha says its a cap but i have my plunger sort of going through it. It's acting more as a flexible seal than a cap.

    Got my NEW CDI!

What is the best process for testing a 2000 warrior stator? the manuals floating around the net have false information according to a rep at Ricky Stator. I get 300 ohms from the source coil and 496 from the pickup. according to the manual my pickup is giving a bad reading but according to Ricky...

    advice/questions yfm350 top end for BW350

May sound funny but try boatnjetski.com for cheap OEM Yamaha parts. I recently purchased a starter clutch, intake manifold, Idle gear, and crankcase gasket for less than $200. I did a lot of price comparisons before going with them and they are the lowest by far. Tip: just click the search...

    87 Warrior Carb Problems

I too would like to know what causes this. I have a '00 and EVERYTHING is stock. runs great except when i gun the throttle from idle, it just dies. Oddly enough, my '84 xl600 does the same thing and runs great otherwise. Maybe this is just the nature of the beast?

    Got my NEW CDI!

I'm so glad I saw this thread. I was THIS close to buying an RM Stator CDI for my 2000 warrior. My OEM cdi makes the bike stall while at idle after about 15 minutes of riding. It always starts back up after stalling I just have to keep the throttle open a bit, otherwise it will sputter and die.
