Thoughts on replacing ball joints with heim joints?

thats exactally what i was thinking. that way id be almost like the way aftermarket arms made. im pretty sure i could do the same concept on the uppers too but just use a smaller heim and add some gussets to the new tube that would be welded in for the heims to thread into

Thoughts on replacing ball joints with heim joints?

now that i broke a second ball joint i actually could do both lower arms as a pair. i think the lowers would wouldnt be too bad cause the tubes are pretty big but the uppers are kinda flimsy. but i suppose u could use a bigger heim on the lowers than the uppers seeing as they hold most of the...

    Redneck Towtruck

hells yea. out here in jersey we gotta get creative while constantly avoiding the cops seeing as every time ur tires touch dirt its illegal. and that puppy was wheeling the whole way home. the front end was so light that it didnt even want to turn with diff lock on. definatly was...

    Redneck Towtruck

So i busted a ball joint today a couple of miles from my house today. luckly i was actually backing up when it came apart so i didnt go flying like the last time thankfully. Anyway i hitched a ride back on my buddies quad and went and got my dads rhino and loaded the warrior into the back. it...

Thoughts on replacing ball joints with heim joints?

So my day of riding ended early when i busted a lower ball joint so im gonna have to replace another a-arm again. i got to thinking that instead of buying another arm i could replace all the ball joints with heim joints like they have on all the aftermarket arms. fabrication wise i dont think...

    Case Splitting Tools?

thanks guys. i had some free time today so i tore my spare bottom end apart and buying the tools would have been a complete waste of money cause like you guys said it litterally fell apart once the bolts were out. now i gotta get the gaskets and i can swap the crank into the good motor before...

    Case Splitting Tools?

i already have a flywheel puller for that reason. im curious how tightly the crank bearings are pressed into the cases cause getting them off is gonna be the hardest part of changing them.

    Case Splitting Tools?

so im going to be splitting the cases to swap out a bad crank soon and im wondering if i really need the proper case splitting and crank install tools. I really dont have a problem buying them to do it right but even the tusk brand tools are $60 each. pretty much just curious if anyone had...

    Liquid cooled warrior

i hate to rain on anybodys parade here but the time and effort needed to convert a motor from air cooled to watercooled isnt going to be worth it. not to mention the amout of money your going to spend would be enough to buy another bike. im sure its in some way possible to do but i dont see it...

    4X4 warrior??!!

nice. wolverines are pretty sweet. ive always wanted to get one of those and build it up with a stroker and a manual clutch conversion and all the normal preformance stuff u would do to a warrior and make it a mud machine.

    Winch?

i used a harbor freight 3k wireless winch and fabbed up a protective cage around it along with a receiver mount. took the better part of a weekend taking my time but it came out pretty good and i use it all the time in the summer when i go mudding with my warrior. the receiver breaks down small...

The mighty boosh-legend of old greg

not big on british humor myself but old gregg was pretty funny back when it came out. i remember in highschool for like a year half the people ran around yelling "im old gregg... i gotta mangina!" was pretty funny but after a while it just got annoying

    smoking and burning oil

well i pulled the head last night and discovered that im missing a the valve seats on both valves. Almost didnt even see it was missing cause its always been that way on this bike and ive never had two motors apart at the same time to compair them. im thinking that because the valve springs...

    smoking and burning oil

i had the head apart prob 2 months ago and i dont really remember there being much play if any. and it has a new head gasket and the bolts were properly torqued so there shouldnt be leaks there. when you pull the exhaust off its pretty obvious that the exhaust valve is leaking oil though
