    talking tires

Innova 21" front and 22" rear. The PW's got solid blues. How much of a difference does a thin center rib, like the Razr fronts, make on steering effort? These Innovas are pretty square and have a big footprint. Steering feels kinda heavy in all situations, but I have nothing to base it off of...

Hehe look at my new atv

I avoid 125's like the plague. Unless you're under 150#, and want to take a huge loss on resale...

Hehe look at my new atv

Pfffttt, screw that guy. Wheels should be in even numbers anyways :hehe:. There's a couple of ATC-R's and a ATC-X in the Pittsburgh craigslist. CR-twofiddy all the way. Last one I had is in my avatar. It was a real, uhh, rocketship. Shot my no-talent ass straight to the moon.:nanner:

All Terrain Cranium-denter! She's a beauty! Looks like it was dipped in clearcoat! Nice find.

    Tapping noise?

X2 While you're at it, don't forget to pick up a small bottle of Anti-Seize. Just a little dab'll do ya on every bolt thread, especially on the stainless. Any brand will do, but this is the Permatex...

    taking apart

Sounds like $40 would be $40 very well spent  I do all of my own work, except mounting quad tires. My 22" camo tires were stiff and hard as a brick to mount. Made me sweat and swear way too much. Maybe a different kind/brand would be easier and more flexible, dunno. Tried it, but paid in...

    wanted forward/reverse switch

Is yours missing or just hard to operate? I pulled mine apart (just drive out the roll pin) and overhauled it with a new spring (mine was rusted/broken) and lots of mud/rust removal inside. A fresh grease job gave the fingertip smoothness back.

    Tapping noise?

How tight is "tighter"? Go much tighter than the minimum recommended, and you will only succeed in burning the valve seats, exhaust side first.

vitos timing key is it worth it

Here's some basic, general input. - I used one (a 4* advanced rotor) on a box stock '88 GSXR750 back in the day. 87 pump gas, 10.9:1 compression, air/oil cooled. Zero difference on the street or roadrace track. - Tried another on a mildly built '91 FZR600. Leaded race fuel, Yosh 4/1 pipe, carb...

I need a 18x2.5 D.I.D rear wheel that will fit the old 465 if anyone can help.

Dude, you didn't Endo that thing, did you??! :hehe:

Lighting coil rewind for more power

D'oh! Never quite considered that 15+ piece deal LOL Is that a coil also, the big one at the top? Which coil(s) are the charging and which are the lighting? I've been blessed never having needed to mess with a stator. This'n looks like a friggin' WWII bomber radial engine...

So, the big bore 2 stroke bug has bit me!

Run with the Big (bore) Dogs or stay on the porch :) Taking a 250 out of a 200# frame and into a 400# frame may be disappointing. Might not be worth the welding rod and grinding disc. Suzuki had 250R's. Honda had 250R's. No fabrication required. Meh. If it were me, I think I'd want it to be...

Lighting coil rewind for more power

Found this while poking around dirtbike stuff. Anybody try this on a Warrior stator yet? http://kdxrider.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10226&sid=2e4b5c31cc0c5b5428f28869e69f7e40

So, the big bore 2 stroke bug has bit me!

No upgrade required IMO :) Even though there's no pics, and it isn't exactly what you're looking for, it may give you some ideas. Maybe he'll send you some pics: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/2705046339.html

    priming oil system

X2 for DRW's suggestion. As long as the pump works, you'll be fine. Dry fire up is a plain bearing engine (car/truck, etc.) problem. Roller bearings, no problemo. I used cam lube (had Comp Cams red stuff in a bottle, but anything like it would work) on the cam and regular motor oil on the piston...

So, the big bore 2 stroke bug has bit me!

A stator from an IT465 might interchange. It has a lighting coil.

    head rebuild

Read this recent thread carefully about top end work. Check out what he found: http://www.yfm350.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24168 I'd recommend tearing it down to check the bore and other components before buying any parts. My quad smoked like mad too, but the bore, piston and valve seals were...

    Twin cyl 500cc Warrior build

No harder than any other carb. There are two zillion of those bikes w/ jet kits in 'em. And another 3 zillion without that run fine and knock down 55mpg all day long while doing it (efficient carb). I don't think there's a need to throw cash where it's not really needed (on another set of...

    Help locating service in alberta

The clunk-clunk when cranking is the one-way bearing for the starter. Just about all of 'em do that from what I understand, including mine. If it's clunking when running, well that's something else...

    Twin cyl 500cc Warrior build

Nah, there's no "waiting" for throttle response from CV'S. I roadraced my EX bone stock, noooo problems. Unless you find a free set, i surely wouldn't worry about flatslides. Somebody in the EX web-circles should be able to get you reeeeal close with the jetting from the kit in one shot.
