    warrior vs. 400ex i know i know

20 hp is just the drag needed to move an automatic tranny vs standard on an old chev. 20hp on bike is difference between 55mph/110mph :D

    yfz 450 on trails??

I M O yes :D Ahhh 450 . I would love the speed, but, wide/ no reverse and rev happy. I had the option to buy a 1991 banshee or warrior, I chose the warrior mostly for reverse, managable power ,good for all types of riding. Now that I'm older I wistfully want the power/speed(shee) but reverse...

    Polishing Plastic

I've used that white foamy window cleaner(with amonia added) and xxx steel wool or finer. The amonia helps sluff off the oxidized plastic/fine scratches and the cleaner lubricates and cleans. Only polish back and forth( the longest way) in parallel lines-NO around and around.Don't hang in one...

    warrior vs. 400ex i know i know

I love my warrior as well, and my best buddy rides '04 DVX400. That things liquid cooled ,oil cooled, 400 cc ,better susp.,overall new technology. It hardly compares to sohc,348cc air cooled. He has more jam everywhere, and can create and maintain a desired speed in mid range easier than...

    fishin for.....

I think I'll start a study on "The increase/decrease of velocity in direct correlation to happiness and pleasure in species ""Homo-Sapiens"", with an in depth overview of distance acheived by such a study if conducted over elevated earthen structers, tight turning radii and all classes of soil...

Cuts out as it warms up

Could it be that your not aware of the Start In Gear/Park brake problem on the clutch perch? Thats got to be the biggest prob warr's got. VelociRaptor makes valid point.

    what brands of oil

I'm cheap and besides I would have to order GOOD oil. I use shell rottella 15w40 for summer oil and I haven't had any clutch drag probs. Rotella is suposed to be free of the detergents and additives that are harmful to bikes/clutches.And I can find it easilly on the trail, try finding amsoil in...

    Magazines

I have dirtweels back from when 250 cc's (80's)was a big atv . They used to put in lots of how to's - change clutch plates, brakes, speed tips, graphs , HONEST REVIEWS, service valves, etc. The best in it now is the letters and readers rides. I still buy it all the time though. I think i'm...

    fishin for.....

Wow, thats some hard hitting research . It's nice to see that Harvard is taking the lead in these important fields. Too much time is being wasted on searching for "miracle"cures for Aids ,Cancer, M.S. etc. . I wonder if the Nobel Prize commitee knows of these findings, I smell a physc. prize...

    hole in crankcase!

:'( ******.... the only perm fix is to take it to a machine/welding shop and they should be able to tig the hole, as long as it isn't anywhere important! If its around a bearing you might be hooped. ::) Thats an unusual prob, I'm usually pretty paranoid and tighten those nuts tight. I've...

Direct shifter for big bear setup

Landing on a stump(beaver or logged) or rock crawling will grab the shifter, nylon straps do nothing with rock and tree, I agree that it will greatly cut down on damage , but only eliminate most obvious damage, not the damage coming from directly below. >:( ****** luck is the only...

Direct shifter for big bear setup

Hey Boxhead I've been wondering about direct shift setup for awhile. Me and my buddys ride dirtbikes too, and are used to that ****. The problem seems to be is that when you wipe out or crash hard , that shifter will---A - break off without a prob. B- bend the arm but break the shift shaft &...
