    thats what i was getting at. is there anyone who knows how to splice the wiring harness on the cdi to work with the bike. thanks everyone.

    i have an 87 yfm350 and bought it without seeing it run. so far i have tried starting it and get no spark. with a bit of looking around i changed the wiring harness, and got a different coil and stator from spare parts but still get no spark. i got another cdi from ebay but am hesitant on wiring...
