    Stiff clutch pull

I wondered the same thing before i first done it. I measured the travel distance of the original lever and one inch was about max i could lengthen it and still get full travel. I also had to tweak the cable mount a little because of the different angle on the release lever. I cut the original...

    Stiff clutch pull

It works, i've been running it on mine for over a year and on a friends blaster for even longer. Its a simple lever with the splined shaft being the pivot point. By lengthening the release lever you increase mechanical advantage. When your at school tomorrow look at your teeter-totter, with...

    Stiff clutch pull

If you have access to a welder, lengthen the clutch release lever by one inch. You will have to reposition the release lever on the splined shaft. The cost is free and the added length cuts clutch pull by almost half.

Yeah its a custom hood with integrated headlight. I didn't like the bugeyed look and wanted a little more protection for the oil cooler.

    carb clean

Berryman Chem-dip most autoparts stores carry it. Its in a one gallon can with a parts basket. Just soak your carb parts overnight then rinse with hot soapy water. And it will destroy all nonmetallic parts.

    Exhaust Trouble, Leak

When someone says "when i put it back together" that usually means it was apart, dude. As for the exhaust, spray with penetrating oil like ms warrior said, take a thin chisel and tap under the muffler side where the pipe is split. Tap the chisel or small flat screwdriver under each split...

    Exhaust Trouble, Leak

The mesh like stuff is the factory seal, kinda looks like steel wool. If you have the factory muffler off you will have to scrape all the old seal off both pipes. I used brass wool to wrap the head pipe then slip the muffler over it. You nay have to open the muffler pipe a bit where its split...

I run 20" mudlites in mostly mud and wet sand(river beds) they work great. The six ply is heavy but stands up to the thorns.

    Stock or raptor carb

Ok, can't get pics to load. The plug is a light brown, no signs of running rich or lean.to me the idle mixture looks correct.

    Stock or raptor carb

Here's a pic of the plug after warming up, today is the first time it has idled without the hiccup. No changes have been made so hopefully there was some trash in the idle circuit.

    Stock or raptor carb

Thought it could've been the intake so i pulled it to getter a better look, even made blockoff plates and pulled a vacuum on it. It checks out good.

    Stock or raptor carb

Thanks I've adjusted the air/fuel and it does it regardless of the position. It will idle great for a few minutes then backfire a couple times then idle great again, hopefully the accel pump boot will help.

    Stock or raptor carb

Yeah i know the pump boot needs to be replaced. Guess i should be more specific with my questions. I'm wondering if the pump boot could be part of the problem or wear on the slide maybe jet combinations. Adjusting the air/fuel screw has no effect on the backfiring. If it could be a cheap fix i...
