Ya it doesnt grab untill its almost all the way out and it has an aftermarket cable that ive already adjusted

I have a 1996 warrior and im new to yamahas and sport atvs. My problem is that i have to let almost all the way out on the clutch handle for it to grab. Can it be adjusted or maby need new clutch????????
