Well just ordered all the stuff for the oil cooler and found out i have some extra money. Im either going to get Bars or nerfs. My bars are bent but I've been ridin with them like that for a while so im used to it, then my stock nerf bars are bent and on of the brackets is broke. So im probably going to get bars but what do ya'll think i should get.

Oh and if i get bars im gonna need help on ordering them. Im going to get the 1 1/8 bars. I want them higher then stock but i was on rocky mountain and it said like Ricky Carmichael bend like WTF is that. So what bars do you have on.

Thanks FRN

For them to take the stock stem mount you have to get the 7/8". I have the banshee bend on mine and I think there like the stock bend that is a maybe a hair higher. This suits me well because I'm a little taller guy. That's really what you should look for. A smaller bend for a short guy or a taller one for a bigger guy.

if you get oversized bars you have to get the clamps that work with them. heres what they look like.

also i recommend the pro taper atv high bend. they are strong and are a pretty good bend. i like them a lot. if you are wanting to get your bars up higher then you are either going to need an extended steering stem or bar risers. for bar risers you could try this site http://www.roxspeedfx.com/index.html ive never tried them and dont know of anyone that has them. you could always give that a shot and it would be cheaper than an extended steering stem. just keep in mind that if you raise your bars with an extended steering stem or bar risers you may have issues with your cables and brake lines being too short. just a fair warning. hope this helps

How much did the bars and big bar clamp cost? Im about 5'11 so im probably going to need a taller bars but i will just try the high bend. Oh can i use stock grips on 1 1/8 bars or do i need new grips?

well i am about 6' and i didnt need to raise my bars. its a nice thing to have but its not necessary. also the bars cost me about $80 and the clamps ran me around $20-30 if i remember right. you will need new grips for the new bars, but not any bigger size. i dont think they make hem any bigger. you will want atv grips though and not dirt bike grips, as you probably know that dirt bike grips have one that is slightly larger for the twist throttle tube. also, all your controls will still fit on oversize bars in the same places. the bars taper down from the mounts to the ends so the area where your controls mount is the same size as standard bars. hope this helps you more. let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks, im probably gonna order a set off rocky mountain. Hope to have a oil cooled raptor with bars by next week
