well i baught a warrior from a garage sale down the road with a trashed motor spent alot of time and money on the wheeler.when i baught it he only had bill of sale but a friend said that was all ineeded.the guy i baught it from never registered it.well i went to register it and no luck because the guy i baught it from never registered it so he isnt the owner.well itried to get in touch with the kid but he will not respond to the door bell i even wrote him a letter.i have some choices get another frame with registeration and swap everything over..or grind off numbers and get a diffrent registeration and tap in new numbers..or just ride and hope i dont get caught.i dont think the person stold this wheeler i just think he sold it and wants nothing to do with it.what would you do?

yeah my 3 of the 4 wheelers in my fam dont have titles, My warrior has a title but the bank has it and i get it next summer. My back up warrior has no number, or anything becuase i built it from scratch and bought a frame that i thought was stolen so i grinded off the number. Then my dads timberwolf has a title but they guy thats company had it went out of business and we cant get it. And we ride with all three of those and nothing has ever happend. But we dont ride where cops are or come to.

The only thing you have to worry about is if it gets stolen, then you have no proof of owner ship and you cant get it back even if its found.

yea we ride where the cops do make a presents now and then but i guess ill just kick up some dirt and ride like hell. ill probly swap frames but what a pain in the a$$

i would say get a new vin number that has a title and just restamp it. Go to a salvage yard and ask if they have any frames that have titles. Buy the title off of them and get the vin then get a stamper and restamp it.

thats what il prob do but i dont know of any scrap yards around here in rochester ny and i dont want to spend 200$s on a used frame i wish i could just buy a registeration i would be all set

I'm in a similar situation, the registration papers for me warrior are lost somewhere in british columbia (Other side of canada) But mine came with a license plate so I just drive carefully when I'm on roads. There are almost no cops in my area too, luckily.
