Well my starter wont turn over, idk what it is. I rebuilt the engine and we did everything right, new cam and new high compression piston.

Go to start it and find there is something wrong with the start button. I press it, it does nothing no clicking in the solenoid nothing. The lights work threw it though. Thats my first problem.

Then my starter, i just wanted to start it so i bypassed everything and conected a wire from the batttery to the starter and it would turn the engine over once then just make a buzzing noise like its being stressed. I thought it was the battery because it was sitting for 5 months so i hooked it up to a charger for 4 hours then tryed it again, no difference. Same thing turn over once then buzz, some times i could get it to turn over twice if i kept it on there, but it would buzz inbetween turns. And i have no idea what that could be eather.

if you take jumper wires and connect one to the starter and one to the frame off a known car battery.. then what happens? If the starter doesn't turn over or has trouble then the starter is junk or something is binding in the engine.
If the starter button doesn't even make the solenoid click then it's either the starter switch or the wire going to the solenoid or solenoid itself... or all 3.

Im pritty sure the battery is compleatly trash. I tryed to just bypass everything today, it wasnt on the charger or anything put the wires up to it and it just did nothing. There was no juice at all in it. Im going to get my friends warrior battery and see if it does anything i know its good.

K the battery is trash i found that out today so i have to go get a new one which ill do later this week.

Now the start button. How would i check to see if its the start button, the wire going to the solenoid or the solenoid itself?
