Well Ive been pricing and looking for gaskets for doing my engine. Ive mainly been looking at Cometic since I can order 85mm right off their site, but upon a little looking I can get a full standard gasket set in 85mm off of ebay for the same price I can get the EST top end kit from their site. I cant find a EST kit on ebay at all. So with the 85mm 10.5:1 compression piston will the standard be fine or the EST?

I say run the est. I have em and have not had issue yet. I did use factory yamaha gaskets on my friends 88 with a 10.25 wiseco. No issues as of yet, either.

Its just my opinion but i dont like cometic.. I've blown more then one of their base gaskets. I REALLY like quad boss's kit but that just my .02

Now see Ive never had an issue with Cometic gaskets. Red Headed ran with no leaks with cometic gaskets for atleast 3 yrs I believe. Im also toying with the idea of just using rtv for the base gasket to up the compression just that little bit. Havent quite decided there yet.
