rear brake issue

We bought a 2009 Wolvy 450, I noticed the rear brakes dont stop well,It appears that the foot brake is not going to the floor, just does'nt seem to be griping the disc very well. Anyone have similar experience and any solutions?

Mine does it now but I have 1500 miles on mine. Though the foot brake never really stopped me that fast unless I was going down a steep hill. The brakes on these are a bit wacky.
