Rear diff skid plate

A few years back, I bought a really nice rear skid from a member on here. I covers a really large portion of the rear swing arm. The only issue was, I couldn't mount my trailer hitch correctly, it got in the way of the plate. I flipped it upside down and that was fine for occational use...but now that I'm using it more, it won't cut it...it bends under the weight.

Does the Yamaha aluminum rear diff skid allow the use of a hitch? I've got the stocker on now and that thing is pretty flimsy.
