yea i took the choke out and cleaned it and put it back in and it started to idel fine so my guess is the choke was getting stuck open. and yes it does feel good genpat1!

cool man do a wide open run and shut it down and check spark plug to make sure your not running to lean or rich so you can dial it in just right

well when you get the clutch cable adjusted take it out for a quick run threw all the gears and when you hit wide open throttle keep it there for no longer than 5 seconds and hit the kill switch and shut it down and then pull the spark plug out and show us what it looks like

You do ... Just pull in the clutch and hit the kill switch and stop hence the name Plug chop

Lmao. Maybe do that and hold the throttle open and load the cylinder up with fuel then cut the ignition back on, and wait for the explosion out of the exhaust, lol. Or blow a hole in the engine, whatever happens first.

I've never bothered with plug chop. Always found that if your main is too rich to just give it a good wot run, stop it, shut it down, and pull the plug. That small amount of idle time doesn't effect the plug condition much at all. So I've found atleast.

I used to do that with my step dads 82 ford f-150 300 straight six 4 on the floor she'd backfire so loud it sounded like an 30.06 going off and the one time I did it it blew the muffler right off lol god I miss those days

My dad used to do that (with friends cars, never hsis own) back in the 60's and 70's. He lived in Union City NJ and they would go through the projects, shut off the engine, leave it in gear and hold the throttle open going down hill. Get right in the middle of the projects and cut the ignition on and it would sound like military grade explosives going off because of the sound reverberation off the buildings.

Yeah, must have been nice to have grown up during that time. Slap on the wrist for anything you did. "Sir have you been drinking? Okay, get in the car I'll give you a ride home."

" Thanks officer! Sorry I threw up in your back seat."

Or,"hey! Nice tits." and no sexual harrasment suit.

Just one of the many reasons why I love That 70's Show. You used to be able to all that ****.
