i have been playing around with my bike trying to see why it doesnt wanna start now. and now i am kinda thinking it is due to the timing is off? i lined up the T in the side case hole thingy. and i took the cam cover off and the line on the gear is a few spaces off of where its supposed to be?? so how do you time it?

i been trying to take the chain off so i can turn that gear but it dont seem to be coming off http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTX7Lb4k1Ts

You have to take the bolt out of the cam gear and lower it ever so slightly. Dont forget to remove the cam chain tensioner also.

tensioner is already out. so i have to remove the bolt and take the gear off? just to move it over some then put the chain back on..? how do i remove that bolt cuz im guessing it would just turn the gear itself

Ive done it 2 different ways. Ive put it in gear and been able to loosen it, or you can hold the crank bolt with one wrench and turn the cam bolt with the other.

alright. so i just it. and now the T is lined up and the line on the cam gear is lined up at the top. and its still doing the same thing (just spinning). so i guess thats not the problem
