So I my warrior throttle has been sticking for quite some time.. So I finally got around to replacing the cable and while it made it easier to push it still sticks.

I then removed the cable again and tested components individually and its sticking at the thumb throttle itself, with no cable connected it takes about 1/2 a second before it snaps back when you release. Is there a bearing or something in there? its clean inside and I tried to oil it which helped for about 2min before it went back to sticking for 1/2 second

is the spring broke or misaligned?

it looked good at a quick glance.. but Ill double check it.. it only sticks when it gets to WOT if just moved to half throttle it would spring back instantly

make sure nothing is catching or rubbing and check to see if any part is bent and try adjusting the screw on the back mybe so the throttle don't get to the point that it sticks

i was just posting to see if there is a common known issue with them :) it probably old grease on the sleeve where the thumb part attaches... ill pull it apart tonight and find out

I have seen where the nut that holds the actual thumb lever is too tight and the lever gets "bound" up, because it's shaft is drawn too tight into the housing.

so i pulled it all apart and found the issue... there was a tiny tiny rock just below the nylon sleeve that I guess was rotating and locking the lever in place.. you could see a tiny divit in the thumb throttle post where it rubbed it

anyhow I cleaned all the old grease out and put new grease on then re-assembled it without the spring so its just a tiny bit easier to push for less thumb fatigue... works good now
