I know on a lot of atv's the timing can be adjusted to gain a little power, is that true on a warrior or is stock timing the only way?

i know when i bought my web cam race cam it came with an adjustable cam sproket to change the timing but i have no idea at all on how to do it...if you know let me know i want to gain some extra power ;D

well im not sure but i know my buddy has a yfz and he either had his advanced or retarded and it made a huge difference

i was talking to some old guy at my race about and i was telling him about all the stuff i was putting on my engine and he started to tell me what to do and what the certin things did and i just said yeah to everything he said becuase i had no idea what he was talking about at the time. hahahah i prob should of payed attension! ::)

You can change timing on atv's. Both ignition with say a dynatek or with a offset key way on the crank. You can also change cam timing. Which basically moves the power band around taloring it to your riding style.
Not a whole lot is to be gained by either.. maybe a 1 or 2 hp.
