An oil cooler may help with this? ???

Yeah, pretty much all of them do it. It seemed like mine would never go into neutral when the engine was running, except when I was trying to shift from first to second gear. Same thing with reverse, except once I got it into reverse I had to shut the engine off to get it back into the forward gears. A good quality oil will help some, and adding an oil cooler will help as well. Having a good clutch will affect it as well, a clutch that's worn or drags is going to give you a hard time.

So if i add an oil cooler, it will help? Like easier to move in an out of reverse? Also is it true when its cold out u have to put something over the cooler?

Mine's kind of the opposite. It won't shift into reverse or neutral if the engine is cold, when it warms up everything's fine.
