K well were working on getting some wiring parts for my bros warrior and i was wondering what years were the wiring the same. I know one set is 97-01. Does anybody know the rest?

Is 96 by its self? And if so would some electrical parts line up on a 95?

As follows, 87, 88, 89, 90-96, 97-01, 02-04. Mostly what you'll find is the kill switch, key switch, and CDI are different from all those years as the plugs are different, you can probably make em work but will require rewiring. 02-04 are totally different as they incorperate a brake light switch on the front and rear brakes. The stator is year sensitve too as the proper year is needed to work right. It's basically a simple system and you could build a wiring harness yourself with a good diagram.

No effence... yes I agree.
Pretty simple you can go to yamaha parts page. yamahasportsplaza.com and find what years will fit what parts and the year of the machine! But either way it shows that there are some great people here with a lot of great info.
