Did you change the pilot jet also the stock one is a 22.5. I would put a 25 in it also depending on the year you may have to drill out the plug over the mixture screw to fine tune it. They come jetted lean from the factory.

I would replace the timing chain too.

From the looks of the first picture I think the valves hit the piston.

Try taking the green/white wire that goes to the reverse lever and ground it directly to the frame and see if it still happens.

Check the ground connection on the reverse lever. There should be a black wire on the back of the switch that is grounded to one of the reverse lever mounting bolts. check if it has a clean ground to the frame.

Clymer makes a good manual that has all the info you should need to check the stator.

yes that will work.

that`s just an old style coil. the newer ones just have a male spade terminal to connect the orange wire to. all you have to do is change the connector from that to a female spade terminal and you`ll be good to go.

That is very impressive good job. Also thank you for putting up your diagrams I`ve been trying to figure out how to get 3 lights to work like that for high and low beams from the factory switch. It didn`t dawn on me to use the taillight output for the low beam. Thanks

I would put the 150 main and 45 pilot in and see how it runs.

I looked on rocky mountain atv and they sell the ball joints for 91 each. if you`re going to keep the quad for a while I would just get the new ball joints.

I would start with taking all the rubber discs in the fins on the head out and give the head a good cleaning with brake cleaner. Then start it up and if it still smokes replace the o-rings on all 3 covers on the head.

The CDI boxes for 87 and 88 are different from each other. What year cdi are you looking for I may have a used stock one. As for the stator 87-89 warriors used the same stator.

You don`t have to take the rockers off to remove the valve spring. Just take the adjuster off the rocker and most spring compressors should fit.

That`s not blow by. That`s the engine internals splashing oil out the hole.

If its a round adapter it 2.5 inches for all the ones I`ve seen. If it`s an oval one it takes the pro design filter.

I don`t think there are any aftermarket clutch baskets available for the Warrior. You can check the shift star screw on the shift drum. If it`s loose it will have shifting problems. Whenever I have to take the clutch cover off of one I always check that screw. If it`s loose take it off clean it...

The carb dumped over into the motor. Rebuild the carb and always turn the gas off when you`re not using it. Check if there`s any gas in the air box too. I`d check the compression on the motor if you were running it like that at all the gas was washing the oil off the cylinder and may have caused...
