Speedometer bouncing around on 1996 Powerstroke

1996 should be OBD2. Honestly, I'd run a datastream on it to make sure it is getting signals from all speed sensors. If memory serves, there is one in the rear diff and one in the trans. I don't think that truck came with all wheel abs, so there wouldn't be any speed sensors in the front...

    89 big bear 350

Your stock carb has one cable that goes into the top and operates the slide. The other cable goes into the side, under the plastic cover, and operates the throttle plate and accel pump linkage. The slide is operated via the throttle plate and accel pump linkage on the single cable carbs.

You need to get a throttle cable from a later model Warrior, or Big Bear. They switched over to a single cable sometime around 1990.

What did you do to your quad today?

Lmao! Not when you ride with me. Only time I have to stop is to piss and stretch. If I have to stop because of a quad problem it is something trail related. Like getting water in the air box, or a branch shoved through a fender, or a boulder whaled the **** out of a rim. **** like that.

What did you do to your quad today?

Something tells me that when you go riding with Alex, the guy with the utility quad becomes his tow truck, lol! Looks like you chose the wrong side to go down, Alex. I would have gone left.

Hanging Idle on Mojave 250. Need some help guys

No problem. I know the Mojave well. If you ever do a timing chain to it, watch out for the timing marks that the manual doesn't specify.

Ugh, that blows, Ed. Hopefully next year will be better for you. Don't have to wait long to find out, either!

Hanging Idle on Mojave 250. Need some help guys

Common problem with the Mojave. All of them will do it over time. The carb is plain worn out and needs replacing. When you adjust the base idle you are adjusting how far open the throttle plate is. That is what raises and lowers the idle. When the carb's bore is worn too far it lets more...

Do me a favor and keep all that snow up there. Don't want any. I'm dying for spring and summer.

    Happy thanksgiving!!!

I've been eating pie since yesterday. To hell with turkey, give me pie!!! I barely eat any real dinner food because there are 3 pies that I'd much rather fill up on. My mom's apple pie (the absolute best I'll ever have), pumpkin pie, and my new favorite - pumpkin crunch pie :D

What kind of cars does everyone drive?

Nothing other then the usual tune-up parts: plugs, wires, belts, pcv, air & fuel filter. Replaced the water pump and thermostat for peace of mind at 160K. The crank position sensors are known to go bad, and there is an updated one that should be put in if not already done.
