I dd an 04 grand Cherokee and my garage queen is an 03 cobra.
Lots of mods on the way for the cobra. I can't wait for spring!!!

I Drive a 1997 GMC Sierra. I got an amazing deal on it, It's only got 100K on a Vortec 350 and of course 4X4. ( I live in wisconsin -_-) and I scored it for $2K! It's my first real vehicle since I just got my license in October. ( I'm 19 going on 20, Long story...) And I couldn't be happier with it!

My daily driver and tow vehicle is my 01 GMC Sierra 2500HD, 8.1L, Allison, 4x4, regular cab. Have had it for 8.5 years. Just turned 196k this past Monday. Bought it with 40k.

How do you like the 8.1? Is it a good motor? My dad wants a 3/4 ton suburban to replace his 97 half ton, he uses it to pull a 6,000 lb camper and was wondering if it's as good as the old 5.7

'97 tacoma 4wd regular cab 2.7 4banger 5 speed on a new set of 31-10.50 mickey thompson Deegan 38. have the motor out putting a new head on it and rings and bearings. have a doug thorley tri-Y header on the way for it.

I wouldn't waste my time with a 6.0. It's a great engine, but, the 8.1 is the cat's nuts for towing. Very reliable, too. Does not come with the Allison in the 2500 Suburbans or Avalanches, only the 4L80E.

What have you had to replace motor wise on yours?

Nothing other then the usual tune-up parts: plugs, wires, belts, pcv, air & fuel filter. Replaced the water pump and thermostat for peace of mind at 160K. The crank position sensors are known to go bad, and there is an updated one that should be put in if not already done.

I drive a 96 chevy extended cab long bed 3/4 ton full tow package 2x4 6.5l turbo diesel 5spd manual. Relocated fsd attached to a cooler. #9 resistor. K&N re clocked optical sensor cat deleted..298k miles. Just a few fun stuff. Full exhaust and turbo swap and inter cooler coming this spring
