    Elite first gen for sale

Okay, you all know I posted a for sale add on here for my Warrior. However, I am in desperate need to sell it now. I wrecked my truck today and need the money to fix it. The truck is a part of me, and I will not let it die. So, I am willing to take offers on my Warrior. Please, make them...

If the bolts were in that bad of condition, use a thread chaser in all of the holes.

    89 yamaha warrior 350 overhaul

Oh ****. I should have paid closer attention to your profile picture. That's an 87 alright.

    Need help with warriors

On the 2001 inspect the intake manifold for damage. They rip wide open and suck air, causing the no start (or hard start) plus backfiring that you are experiencing. On the 2000, are you sure that you have the correct year range stator/flywheel/cdi combo? There are several different...

    89 yamaha warrior 350 overhaul

Well, it's not an 89. The tenth character of the vin is the year designation. H for 87, J for 88. 14/40 works very well. Going down an inch or two on the rear tires really works well with that gearing.

    89 yamaha warrior 350 overhaul

By the way, you have either an 87 or an 88, because those are replaceable ball joints. Only two years they had that. Have the dual throttle cable is also indicative of and 88. I don't recall the 87 having the two cables going to the carb. Pretty sure that had a single cable like the newer...

    pilot jet

You need to pull the plug to see what color it is. Should be the color of a brown paper bag. If it's white it's lean. If it's dark or black it's rich.

    2000 Big Bear 400

I just did work to a green Grizzly like that one. Only has 750+ miles on it. Got it up to 62 mph test riding it. I'm not a fan of the bike due to it's bulky size and the fact that it is belt driven, however, it's a way better machine then a Big Bear.

    Ground up rebuild!

Hahaha, I would have given that Warrior to her and bought the X back! LOL!!! Yeah, buddy, those old Hondas are the cat's nuts. Just a bear to kick over if the decomp cable isn't adjusted properly, or you have really high compression (like mine). If you are wanting to make lots more...

    Ground up rebuild!

Oh yeah, we love the 350X. They are a real powerhouse, especially once you crack them open. You can stroke them, then make the XR500 (iirc) top end fit it and come out with a 460cc monster that you have a hard time keeping a clutch in. They can be one badass mofo. Mine is ;) On your...

    Ground up rebuild!

Quick question... Why did you get rid of the 350X???????????????????????? I would have bought that off of you in a heartbeat. Could have done a lot with that.

    89 yamaha warrior 350 overhaul

Crank bearings are easily replaced. You don't need to press them on. They are a slip fit type bearing. Replacing the rod, it's bearing and crank pin are a good idea. However, if the thrust play (measured with a feeler gauge between the rod and crank lobe) is within tolerance and the rod has...

They are looking good. I'm surprised that you are using stick welding.

If I was to do powder coating, it would be the tempered finish for durability. That kit should do the trick. Eastwood has some really good frame supplies, as well.

    2nd and 3rd gear sputter

Yes, if I am not mistaken, there should be a washer between that gearset and the bearing. Been a good while since I had one apart. Do you have a repair manual? It will tell you the complete removal/reinstallation of the trans. I would replace the shift forks as well. The reverse fork is...
