My D.I.Y. Airbox lid Mod, step inside.

No, it's like the material used in warm up clothing. It's a little more porous. I had intended on using the outerwears, but the one I ordered is for a K&N filter. I hate to cut it down, so this will be the standby till I get the right one.

My D.I.Y. Airbox lid Mod, step inside.

So this is what my brother and I came up with: Credit goes to my brother, as he came up with this for his LTZ400. Since we are sheetmetal workers, it was only natural for us to design our own. The ring is "custom made", out of 28ga(or 26 I don't remember) galvanized steel. The material on...

    I hate carbuertors...seriously

Sadly, my last carburerated truck moved on last year. It was a Beastly 85 chevy 3/4ton, with Holley 600, into an Edelbrock Preformer, Black Jack headers into Glasspacks going straight out. Now I'm stuck with 4 Carbed quads, and a Carbed Goldwing. **** my luck

    I hate carbuertors...seriously

I hate carbuertors..PART DEUX!!!! So, today my brother and I were doing plug chops on his bike, and it seems just too inconclusive. So, I'm about to Airbox mod my bike, and depending on what Outerwears I ordered(long story), I'm either going to cut my lid, and mod the cover to the lid and oil...

What did you do to your quad today?

Well, Not today, but in the last week I've - Added Tusk Nerf Bars - DG front bumper - Pulled brake bleeders and drained, flushed, and refilled entire system - New Chain and sprockets - Greased entire quad - New grips. All that is left is: - Airbox mod and plug tuning - Install Barkbusters.

What's with all the Warrior hate???

I had Googled Yamaha Warrior 350, and was checking google shopping for parts. I happened to click on ATV Connections, Bluetraxx, and another site, and it seemed that everytime the Warrior was brought up, or questioned, there were plenty of people to rag it.

New rear caliper, brake won't pump fluid

I'd invest in a "Mighty Vac" vaccum pump. I use it for all my quads/bikes/cars. I did all 3 of my brakes on the warrior yesterday in 1 hour. That was a complete flush and fill.

What's with all the Warrior hate???

Case in point, last week my bro's LTZ was making a gurgling sound after a half hour. He realized his fan wasn't coming on. He thought it was a temp sensor, but when power was applied, the fan had **** the bed. NOW, this is such a common problem, that the P.O. had purchased a second fan. Bro'...

What's with all the Warrior hate???

This is something I've noticed for some time, and after a recent Google search, It became VERY apparent our beloved Warrior is a HATED machine. Me, I've always been drawn to the Warrior. I have, and have had other quads, but when the time came for me to buy a quad, I bought a Warrior. Now I...

    4X4 warrior??!!

I like those Wolverines, and would have bought one, but I'm not a fan of FT 4wd. I'm still thinking of getting one for my boy(when he gets a couple years older). I hear those Wolverines are tough as woodpecker lips. I'd be curious to see how your wife likes it. I have a Prairie 300 2x4 as...

    Oil Level

Both my dirt bikes were this way. Anymore, if they have a dipstick, and are a quad/thumper, this is the rule of thumb for me.

Air box lid mod. Which one is MOST EFFECTIVE.

I've thought of that too. WAY to many options here. I'm running pretty good now, just think I need to get a little more air to the carb. I'd prefer to run a lid if possible. I have 2. One is already drilled with about 10 1/8" holes(previous owner). And the other is solid. So, I'm trying to...

Air box lid mod. Which one is MOST EFFECTIVE.

Good to know. I was thinking of running the sock for just at the sands. So, filters and a good coating of oil, and I should be Good to Go?? Normally I wouldn't mess with it, but in my current configuration, It seems I am starving for air at W.O.T.

Air box lid mod. Which one is MOST EFFECTIVE.

I think I'm going with the 6 drilled holes, with the Uni Mini Pods, and a sock around the airfilter.

Air box lid mod. Which one is MOST EFFECTIVE.

I deal with airflow on a daily basis, and have a few questions about the Lid Mod, that I am looking for input on. - mod1: 6 1" holes drilled in lid, with 6 separate filters. - Mod2: Overpriced Outerwears Pre-filter(AKA expensive pantyhose) - Cartridge style Airfilter cut into lid. Now in...
