I got my airbox in today... It has a twin foam air filter in it, I cleaned it with warm soapy water. I still need to get some filter oil, but I had a question about the filter tube. The foam on the edge of the tude where it seals against the air box is deteriorated. Is there somewhere I can get...

Yea... That's what I'm gonna do... I also plan on taking it mudding so need the airbox anyway, so I might as well go ahead and get one.

I'm lookin on eBay for an air box to put it like its suppose to be... Anyone know ir the 90 air box will work on a 94?

Ok.... Here's what I've stumbled on... I changed the needle clip to the space below center and it wouldnt get past 1/4 throttle this time... So I took it back out and changed the clip to the top notch thinking that if it was getting worse as I moved the clip down, then I should try all the way...

I'll give that a shot tomorrow and see what happens.

Changing the needle position made no difference at all... Once I hit that half throttle mark, it just looses all power and starts the sputtering, as soon as I back off below half throttle, it picks back up again... If I hold the throttle past half way, it sputters out for a few seconds and dies.

After dropping the needle one notch, and putting the pen spring in, it's still doing the same thing... I took a video with my phone, but the sound isn't the best, but maybe you can make heads or tails of the sounds u hear, you can barely hear the bogging. I also made sure and it is at half...

I only remember seeing 1 switch... The one for the clutch...

The needle is a 5j18 with the clip in the middle... The accelerator pump was sticking toward the furthest point of compression... I replaced the spring with a pen spring and it no longer sticks... I also moved the clip one space up on the needle so it would sit further down... Headed into town...

Weather I ease into it or hammer it, it seems like it stars sputtering at about half throttle or so.

I'll rip it back apart when I get a chance and check the jet and needle clip setting and check the accelerator pump as well... I'll let ya know.

Could the float height cause this issue? Ive taken out all the jets and cleaned everything. It purrs like a kitten while idling, and runs great while starting off and in reverse. It's just when i try to take off that it starts sputtering. If the float height isn't the issue I think I may just...

It's been running fine without an air box, but I'll take the carb off and do a full cleaning on it. I fount that part in the manual, so i feel more comfortable with it. Thanks.

I'm not sure of the jets or any of that. I don't think there are any mods. I don't think I messed with the fuel air ratio. The only jets I took out were the main jet and the jet needle. The rest I just used carb cleaner and compressed air to make sure there was air flow. I'm not a mechanic by...
