anyone have these on there warrior? do they bolt right up with no modifications? how much higher do they make the quad sit? and how does it handle compared to the stockers, any help would be appreciated

It has been discussed many times on here but yfz shocks are also too long and could lead to the ball joints failing. Just something to think about if thats what you decide to go with. If you r on a tight budget a newer set of banshee shocks is probably the way to go.

yeah thats what i was planning on looking for a decent pair of front shocks, iwas just thinking if the ra'ptor would work, if i drilled another hole higher on the mouting for the top and maybe a little to the inside

actually you want to move the lower mount on the a arm to keep the stock movement of the a arms and ball joints. 660 shocks have been discussed on other forums and would work if you move the mount, but i dont see them being worth it

i thought of that, but moving the lower part down, wouldnt that make the front ride really stiff?

no, because there will be less torque on the front and less travel from a lower mount, and it will make the front ride really stiff, with stock a-arms that is.

lol if the shocks are more up and down you make the focus point further away, making them stiffer. if the shock mount is moved out further than stock the shock moves with the wheel more making them softer. its all calculus and physics

yes thats what im talking about by decreasing you angle of depression, like those kits will make it easier to compress the spring. i have a good amount of experience in building suspension systems

but ya its cool youll love those shocks ;D

mmmk, i ee what your talking about with the angle of depression, but it doesnt really have that much affect on the shock at hte amount of difference between the two mounts, but i was talking about the amout of leverage difference betwen the placement of the shocks. its liek the difference of try to grab a wrench at the base where the socket attaches and trying to take the bolt off vs using the handle, where the sockt represents the attahcment to the frame and the handle woud be wher the wheel is, there is going to be less torqu input on the shock the farther out the placement is of the shick, but it will come to a pint where it starts going backwards from there, if you put longer a-arms on it represent like using a breaker bar vs a standard rachet, there less amount of force needed to make that bolt move, or the shock compress

you mean the "will insert shocks here work?" by yamirider? yeah i read ove that i was just trying to figure out some of the geometry of the whole front suspension, but ithink if you were to go with raptor or yfz shocks, you would have ot run custom + a-arms

ok, ill just have to rig something up to put the shocks out farther and see for my self...
