01 Raptor shock finally installed

Man does this make a big difference-mucho better ;D
The back end is about 2 inches higher now,but this shock has better travel and much better rebound.I mounted the rezzie to the airbox with a little "L" bracket and a couple of bolts(the line is much shorter)Shock cost $65-ebay-NOT SPEEDY'S :-X :-X

Looks great! I zip tied my shock res. back by the rear brake-line. Yours looks like a better location. Did your shock fit right? (with the swingarm linkage) I ask cause I had to do a bit of creative grinding with mine.

I dont know about the 05 shock,I think you mean a 05 Raptor 350 right?This one is from a Raptor 660,it is longer,and valved diffently.Compared to what I used to have-a 87 stock rear shock(almost 20 years old)is very different.I had to have my old shock adjusted to the max preload(stiffest)and it still would bottom out if I missed a whoop,etc.This new one if smooth,and softer.So,I am 200 lbs.I set it at 1/4 of the way to softest,with a slow rebound(cause I am not a racer-type).I would say its a 6
