Hi all, I finally bought my buddies Warrior 350 for $300. She's a lil tired but i know these quads have a huge following and are farily serviceable. That and back in the day I owned a BW350 and loved that machine!
Upon looking at the VIN the 10th digit is H which I assume is 1987? That means I have the first year of this ATV? Is that bad?
The person he bought this from years ago said "hey we took the carb apart but it's cracked in half and I used a bolt to hold it together. Never take it apart again." Since I am looking to make this reliable SHTF Emergency transport I do not want a carb that is damaged in this way waiting to strand me when I need it.
I know they made this for a long time but are the '87's different from all the other years? and will this carb be a suitable replacement? http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-WARR...ors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ed78e37f9
Also someone put a twist throttle on it. This I do not want, just not my riding style. The last thumb throttle/cable we bought supposedly for the quad came with a cable that wasn't even close to what we needed on the carb end. Is there any guidance on what I might look for to get rid of the twist?
Thanks all
