1st and second gen swingarms the same?

Got a first gen parts bike and I was wondering if the swingarms were the same on both generations?

No they are not. The 1st gen is 1" longer, and takes it's own carrier. Other then that, they are identical.

Axle is the same but carrier and swingarm are diff

My second gen carrier wouldnt go in the first gen swing arm and i dont think the tabs on the swingarm are that bent to not let it fit. I even measured and the carriers are different lengths from mounting holes to mounting holes.
