I got my Warrior back from the mechanic today. He did a compression test and a leak down test and said the motor is fine. The carb needed a rebuild and now it starts and idles great. He did mention that it seemed like the rev limiter was interferring with the throttle. I rode it this afternoon and it does seem like the rev limiter makes the throttle sputter. Once you goose the throttle it takes off and runs great.

My question is what can I do to eliminate the rev limiter to rule that electrical gremlin out?

Thanks for the help and support.

My mechanic said it ran better when he unplugged the reverse indicator wire. My electrical system is a basket case to begin with. I'd just like to cancel the rev limiter and see what happens.

I unplugged this one and the rev limiter sound persists. Any other ones I can check?

I really feel your still having carb issues , and if your harness is a Rats nest I would suggest a drw performance race cut harness with lights it eliminates all the safety and unnecessary relays and if yiu wanna really improve it get the drw zeeltronic programmable cdi

Update: I took the Warrior back to the mechanic and he got me a new carb. After install, the thing runs like a beast! The carb rebuild kit didn't address the worn slides in the old one. Now it's back! I'm so glad I have a community of people to get good information from. Thank you to everyone who responded.
