So, I've done this to 3 warriors now for friends with zero budget so I figure it's worth a write up. If you have like, 15 bucks you can just get a yz shifter but it does put the shifter further from the peg. Personally I like it at the tip of my toe like that but sone people have small feet so this might fit certian riders well.
Anyhow, you'll need a cut off wheel and a welder.
Cut the thing with the linkage off and throw it at your friend, then bend what's left till it looks roughly like this. Cut off the excess and weld it up.
