A guy at work just sold me a 2004 tt-r 225 in mint condition for $900 dollars. This is the first bike i have ever owned or ridin on and it is a lot of fun. It doesnt have the all out power of a mx bike but it is still fun to trail ride on, anyone else had one of these bikes before, i figure if nothin else i can clean it up a lil and resale for a few more bucks. pics will come soon

not planing on jumping it at all. just for woods and trail riding, very heavy bike but i will just ride this one till i get good then i will prob get a wr250 and sale the ttr-225

they are known to have tranny issues. they are not very strong :-/

this thing has less than 60 hrs on it when u see the pics u will understand the guy that i bought it from works with me and is 57 and takes very good care of his stuff like i said hoping to ride around on it to get the feel of handing a bike then im gonna sell it and get a wr250 or yzf250, not planning on keeping very long.

Sounds like a plan. The ttr's definitely aren't really an impressive bike in any way but it's fine to learn on. I've always looked at them more like a big version of a mini bike than a real dirt bike, the suspension travel is so short it's almost a joke.

yeah in a all out drag the raptor 350 smokes it will the greatest ease. after being on the bike then getting on the raptor i will say this, I think i like riding the bike more even though its slower, it will pull the front end off the ground in second lol.
