pull the little black plastic plug on the stator cover , and the timing gear cover then tune the motor over with a wrench till the "T" is in the window ... when you have the "T" in the window the line on the cam gear needs to be pointing at the little nub on the top edge

if it off and hasnt bin apart before then you most likely need a timing chain ... but you unbolt the cam gear, at TDC there should be some play in the cam

If timing is off it is most likely due to a streched timing chain. But to reset timing, you need to loosen (do not remove yet) cam bolt, remove 12mm bolt and spring from tensioner, remove tensioner, remove cam gear enought to rotate tooth at a time until the timing marks align. Make sure the "T" in the flywheel is lined up with the notch in the inspection hole, and the cam lobes are down, when you do this. You will need a 17mm socket for the cam bolt, 8mm socket for the tensioner bolts, 12mm for the tensioner spring cap, and a torque wrench.

yeah take over this man i gotta hit the hay .... i worked today 7am till 11pm doing insulation and vapor barrier
