Dude it is a 38cc gain. I'd like to see what that dude Gregs 400cc kit made for the Warrior. I'd bet it's around 32 solid HP.

I bet with a huge cam it would be right around that.

400ex's arent very quick... i walk them all the time. Modded and stock. 38 isnt bad... but a piped z400 is almost making that and they can both be had for about the same price new....

....not as much as I would of thought since they were using an Edelbrock carb.

Remember Dave, carbs dont make power. They only let loose what the engines got. If the engines making its max with xxxx carb, its not gonna get any more with another carb, no matter what the manufacturer says ;)

Dyno charts and numbers are useless unless it shows both the base-line run, and the mod'd run, and both runs must be on the same dyno.

You can have 2 different ATV's on 2 different dynos both mod'd the same, one makes 50hp, the other 45hp.

Well, the base-line on the 1st ATV is 44hp, it shows 50 after being mod'd, on the that dyno. A 6hp gain.

The other ATV on the other dyno, base-lined at 39hp, and after mod's show 45hp. Also a 6hp gain.

The are mod'd the same, run the same, drag-race the same times. Is one really making 5 more hp? Nope..... The HP improvement is relative to the base-line run on that particular dyno. All dyno's will read differently to some degree.

Dyno's are a tuning tool, nothing more.....

I know how dynos work (mostly anyways) so I do agree with you on that point. But just the fact that theres numerous builds on different motors, on different dynos making more than that tells me that either that dyno is reading low, or it could have been a better build on that motor. That was the point I was trying to make. Anyways, I agree that dyno numbers are useless if you don't have a baseline showing where it started at.
