87 Warrior or 97 Warrior????

i have an 87 warrior which has tons of mods and is in awesome shape. You would think it is new. It runs awesome, is faster than most, and never lets me down. Here is the question at hand.....I just bought a 97 warrior (clean!!! $1200.00) as i am going to upgrade my girlfriend's ride. Which one do i give her? Shall i switch all my bolt ons to the 97 and wait for the motor to go and make all the internal mods? Or do i just keep the 87? The only thing i acn think of is the 97 looks cooler, has an ignition I can upgrade, I can get a better bumper and It has better lighting. But is this worth giving up the ported head, oversized valves, cam, piston, etc.....?????

I guess I could do that without making it to much of a hassle. I am attracted to the newer bike but I guess technically I own both so it doesn't really matter.

No contest now. Didn't get the 97 warrior. Had to settle for an 02 kawi lakota sport. i guess we will have to upgrade again later.
