Hey folks,
So I inherited a very nice original Yamama Warrior and finally got it running last night after a carb rebuild, new ignition switch, new spark module, new stator and pick-up coils. Weirdest thing is that when the ATV is turned off then the bike sparks. However, when the ignition is ON and everything else is working (lights, e-start, etc) then the ignition appears to be grounded.
I'm not sure what could be wrong. The only wires running from the stator & pick-ups that I could have wired incorrectly were two color coded leads. I did go ahead and try to switch them to no effect. All other wires are 4-way or 3-way special plug adapters.
There is no telling what the previous owner might have done. Could be my fault, too, but I won't accept responsibility.....LOL.
Any thoughts?
