88 warrior 350 cdi upgrade?

Is it possible to change a 1988 warrior over to a later model CDI box? Would it require a different stator or could you do it with the existing one.

hi, don't need a need to change stator to upgrade cdi box, just look for a performance cdi box for your year model.

I should have posted this, but it's more of a modernization of the wheeler as yes there is the one for $220 but my cousin would like to go to a later one to deal with future times when it dies.

As currently the CDI box is starting to look more and more like the dead component.. stator checks out with a multimeter. The coil is low on the ohms how ever it's new .

what does a later one gain for you? is $220 too much for a new one with a 1 year wtty?
