89 or 99???

Looking int obuying this quad off someone and it seems reall sketch to me, as far as he knows its a 99, but everything proves its older. It leaks oil and smokes a lil bit. The frame is blue, yellow shocks, sprayed painted plastics. it has square headlights :. chain pops off. I asked to meaure the rotor because i know this is the only difference mainly. It looks old. I think the plastics are changed too, cause there is a little groove or design where the 350 electris sticker goes. isnt it supposed to be flat? The rotoe measure is 9.5cm radious so 19 cm across, if anyone can comapre since I am not home to measure my 89. get at me boys. Mike

24.5 cm on mine, so you're looking at an older model. Even if it was a 99 it would have to be pretty cheap to make it worth the money, with all the repairs it needs.

yeah thanks, I knew it! haha. The rear nerf pegs that came on stock 99 ones were wire tied on cause there was no hole for the frame. I ran into the rotor problem when I warped mine. I ordered liek 3 and they all didnt fit were too big. Tehn I realized and we ordered an 89 and it fit liek butter. mike

89 warrior, replaced plastics, most likely needs a re ring, and a chain, leaks oil????

89....blue frame and square lights. Also the bumoer mounts are different.m Is there a pull start? Check the head....is there a compression relief? If so it is older.

89-04 have the same front end, 87-88 had the lights ontop of the bumper and the different front ends

prolly gonna buy it if he agrees to 250-300 area, going with cash, driving it back to school, then storing at a firends if I buy. I can always use every part off of it for my bike, and the suspension components are worth it so I would be happy. I will never have the money for a newer one till I get out of school and pay off loans. This is one of those "hey mom, look what I got on the side of the road, it fell in the truck kinda things" So wish me luck, I'll make it blue again and have twins, I still have my old blue ppastics which I would cut into a flame design, cause its cracked on one side.
