My 97 Wolverine's carburetor is shot and needs replaced. The motor is stock except for a HMF muffler. Any ideas?

The black plastic piece with three screws on the right side of carb that provide vacuum to the slide diaphragm is broken. This part is not available from Yamaha and I have not found one salvage. It seems this carburetor is limited to the 97 to 05 Wolverine.

I just installed a 04 raptor carb and intake. Wow, I can't believe the increase in performance. The Wolverine runs better than when it was new. This is the best perfromance mod I have done so far.

I'd like some clarification as to what Raptor carb as well. I'd assume a Raptor 660 would flow too much air and not enough fuel as you have to pass air to move fuel and since we wouldn't be passing all the air the carb is designed for, we'd be running really lean (just my thoughts). Not to mention that there should be two carbs instead of one.

Let's not even get into the "throttle body" issue with a 700 Raptor. lol

Elaborate please.
