So I put my new banshee shock on last night, awesome to have that goin for me again. Then moved on to replace my front wheel bearings. I got both of the hubs off and noticed that my upper a-arms on both side slide back and forth in between there caps and mounting points. Is this normal, am I missing some washers? Will washers fix this problem? Help. I think this might take me out of this weekends race if I need to get new a-arm bearings.

Spec Tight. It weird that they slide they way they do. As if they were made wrong. The space of the frame mounts are about half an inch wider than the a-arm bearing mounts? I think that the end caps aren't thick enough. Can washers fix this? I can try and post a pic or short vid of the movement. I just don't know if its normal.

That's definitely not normal, my stock a-arms fit in so close to perfect that they would actually hold in place on the mounts when I took the bolts out. Try to get a picture, something definitely sounds wrong with your setup. Maybe get a picture of the end of the a-arm with the dust caps removed as well.

hahah. I figured it out. Luckly We had a set of junk upper a-arms lying around and I took the bushings from them. Some where someone who had the frame and arms before me put cylinder bearings in both ends of the a-arm openings instead of the plastic compost bushings. The bushings make up for the room that I had. It took me like an hour or so just to get all 8 of the ****** bearings out. I have a picture of the carnage I'll post it up later.

the bearings are next to the screw driver the bearing case is laying flat towards the top of the towel and the bushings which were supposta be there in the first place and luckily had lying around, is laying on its side at the bottom of the towel.
What a head ache. O well its all fixed up now. Now all I need is a new battery, jesus there is always something.

They might have installed a pivot works bearing kit in that, and left out a few pieces. The bearings for the a-arms never made any sense to me, the nylon bushings are dirt cheap and will probably last 5 times as long because they aren't really affected by moisture and dirt all that much.
