A few Qustions: clutch & steering...

So, today, I finally put the quad on the trailer, to try it out;
After installing the new Barnett kit with HD springs, and new tie-rod ends on the direction (Besides all the other stuff I did which actually works...lol...) I was going WTF???

The clutch still slips big time, even after installing the Barnett; New REGULAR quad oil is in, I did let the clutch soak in oil prior to installation... WTF ? My cable has at least 0.200" slack ??? Any info guys?

Also, I installed new tie-rod ends, and the friggin steering is all over, and feels twitchy; the only thing I saw in the manual, is a 12.8" center to center dimension on the tie-rods...???? Pretty vague to my taste... Any feedback on this ?

Thanks in advance for your replies, because this is not my idea of fun, but I know all of my endeveors, bring me closer to that...

your clutch mabey outa adjustment but i dont know anything about tie rods and stuff

Did you inspect your clutch basket? If the "fingers" on the basket are indented from the friction tabs, they will hang up and keep the frictions from engaging. Everytime i replace a clutch i smooth out the edges.

Front end:

The first step in aligning the front end is to square up the wheels on each side. What i do is measure from the front of the rim to the a-arm mount(front), then the rear of the rim to the rear a-arm mount.
Once you have done this on both left and right sides, it's time to measure for your toe.

measure from the centre of the tread at the front of both tires, then do the same at the rear of the tire. At first these 2 measurements should be the same.

Once they are the same, you can now adjust the toe so the front measurement is 1/4 inch less that the rear measurement.

Thanks a bunch WC77 !!! Thats what I was looking for, as for the clutch I think I found the problem; when I took out the clutch, there were no clutch boss springs in the assembly so I put in my Barnett thinking no other parts were needed ...

Went to go see on a microfiche, and saw #17 : Spring clutch boss....
There are two springs mounted between fiber plates #3, and #5 (counting inwards from primary driven gear, towards center of quad) ...

I think these are the culprates...

I need to order them, and re-assemble my clutch again...
BTW my clutch basket has no nicks, whatsoever... I think the P.O. rode it like that for a while...
