Hi. I recently picked up an 04 warrior and now I'm working out the bugs from the last owner. Anyways I'm in the middle of cleaning my carb because my accelerator pump was getting stuck. I'm gonna do the bic pen spring and valve cap but I've noticed now that I've gotten the accelerator moving freely that it only moves about an eighth of an inch when engaged by the white plastic piece of the throttle. So is this normal? Seems like it should move more?

I'll try and post some pics later today. Basically at wot the plunger is only being pushed down an eighth of an inch. I'm fairly positive it's normal and that's why the valve cap mod makes such a difference. I was just looking for verification before I put the carb back together.

Ok new question. Just pulled out the air fuel mixture screw. It wasn't backed out at all. It was fully seated. It should be backed out between 2 and 2 1/2 turns correct? Also there is no gasket or spring on the screw at all. This can't be right? Did the old owner rig this up? Or am I just way off base here?

There should be a spring a little washer and an O-ring on the mixture screw. Get a rebuild kit all the parts will be in it. And make sure the old o-ring isn`t stuck up in the screw hole before you put it back together.

Thanks for the quick response. Rebuild kit is on order and will be here Tuesday. The old oring was jammed in the hole and there was no washer or spring. So now I guess I just have to sit here and wait patiently. Thanks
