Alright i need to replace my cam sprocket. One from yamaha costs 32 bucks. But i have seen an adjustable cam sprocket on ebay, and cycle works racing also has one. Now im pretty sure these are used for high lift (.450 lift cam) to degree it and get the most out of it. But would there be any advantage to using it with my .430 webcam? I am planning on putting the cam in only as of right now, untill i can get more money for the piston boring+ porting and other small mods. But the adjustable sprocket costs 60 bucks, the one on ebay is prolly a little cheaper, so someone let me know what the advantage would be if they know.

advanced or retarded timing. dont know if its as good of an idea with a sohc motor rather than a dohc which usually has the exhaust sprocket advanced

Thanks, id like to here some more opinions about it though before i make the purchase. But still thanks.

it got its good and its bad with a sohc motor u dont want to mess with the timing 2much caues if you do it to much you can be mesing up you motor in a bad way which i not a good thing
