wow sitten pretty tall

Haha ya with them 22" tires and that 660 raptor shock the rear end is kicked up pretty high, but is sets pretty level with me sitting on it.

gotta love the old supertrapp exhaust, same thing i got lol

Have you ever taken all the discs off and the end cap and heard it?

no never done that, i have had the screws out that hold all the guts in out for over a year now and it still wont come apart so i can repack it. my brother had bought that exhaust in 1997 and its never been repacked. one day ill actually try to bang it apart because i already have the packing material.

O ya when you take the discs and end cap off it's really loud but it still sounds good

i like mine sitten low. i took all the discs out of my pipe it sounds awsome and when i want it quiet i just put the quiet core in and put on a turndown that i made

I have the same exhaust on my dual sport, didn't have a problem taking it apart to repack it. Did you take the retaining ring out that holds the core into the shell?

I think they're too damn loud with the discs and end cap off, I ride with all kinds of bikes and with that end cap off my little 350 is as loud as a honda 750 with the baffles cut out of the exhaust. Gets irritating pretty quick on a long ride, I like to keep my quads and bikes quiet so i can hear what's going on around me, and not annoy everybody else with the noise. If you want a really impressive sound though, take the core out and start it. With that megaphone shape of the shell it's actually louder than running without any exhaust at all.

what do you mean by the retaining ring? i had taken the 3 screws out around the canister and the cap and disks out, is there something im missing? that would be great to get that apart. i had never though of asking on here if there was something i was doing wrong (a lot of times im very slow at things so it wouldnt surprise me if i was missing something)

yea i also do not like open exhaust, pretty much for the same reason as yamarider stated. my favorite tone is a deep sounding noise with a nice tone, but not a crackling and obnoxious noise

I'm willing to bet this ring is what's still holding yours together. On mine there is a wire ring about the thickness of a coat hanger that fits into a groove in the canister. The groove is right at the edge of the core, and with the ring in place the core will not come out. You should see what I mean if you look closely at it. Just get a pick or something under one of the ends of it and pick it out, i bet the core comes right out after that.

If you don't see what i'm talking about, then it's possible that yours is built different than mine. I think technically the pipe on my bike is a White Brothers with Supertrapp discs but I was always under the impression that they were just Supertrapps sold by White Brothers, there's not even a White Bros logo on it or anything.

And back to the actual subject of this thread, looking good Tyler, definitely an improvement. Doesn't look beat up at all anymore, that thing did look thrashed.

ok sounds great! im hoping to be home this weekend so ill try to take a look. thanks yamarider

haha and yes back to topic, im liking it better also tyler, that thing has come a long way. sorry for jacking your thread. what are your future plans for it?

would look much better w/o all those stickers. it still looks sweet though since you took the stress marks out.

how do you like those nerfs? i want to get some, but im worried that my feet would slip down in between the netting and frame. guess i always look for the bad in things though.

My feet haven't slipped through the nets yet but i wear a size 14 shoe lol. And the nerfs when they get wet the metal is slick.

hmmm, that gives me an idea. if i ever get any i would spray some bed liner type stuff on them. would look good, protect better, and not be slippery when wet.

I had those same tusk nerf and loved them, good price, great look and a solid product (that is until you hit a train track at 60, accordion your frame and smash your tire and rim into them)

Ya but im pretty sure that would be pretty rough on any set of nerf bars. LOL

looks nice.. was it just the rappy rear shock that make it sit up higher? i think i need to do this to compensate for my fat ass..

my future plans for this thing is to get it into the elite, and yes i know i have a long way to go. I will more than likely eventually get a 450 but i will hang on to this for sure. Since im going to keep it hopefully forever i want after market EVERYTHING and get it bored to the massive 446.
