So got my quad rebuilt. Had to change the battery and fix the parking brake thing because it would bog bad.... Whatever, Anyway so I didnt really "break it in" as I should have, I just rode normal and its been good besides some smoke... So today Im riding a trail fast (I thought it was broken in at this point, about 20 hours on it..) And then in 5th gear the engine kinda cut out/bogged eh whatever shifted down did some **** like riding on two wheels. Anyway I shut it off for a good hour maybe 2? And then I go to start it and its smoking like a train I figured no biggy because it does this whenever I start it cold. Well go to go and third gear up bog bad or anything further then half throttle... Wtf? Im thinking carb or intake of some sort? I know my exhaust is kind of disconnected and not packed could that make it bog really bad though? Also I seem to be going through oil. Quad idles fine once warmed up and no smoke.
So whats your opinion?

Also lemme put in some more info.. Parking break was causing it to bog orginally, I tightened the bolt so it kept the thing disengaged so that the little button on that cord stays pushed in and it ran fine at first, I also noticed A black wire was cut by the shiter for reverse/forward. I grounded that originally it just connects to the back of the shifter I think tho.. Maybe it came ungroundeD?

Check your intake boot to make sure it's. Not cracked and then if it's ok make sure the carb is clean and while your in there make sure you have the propped jets a 145 main is stock and 42.5 pilot. The main should be bigger if you have an exhAust or open air is etc
