im about to order all of my engine mods in a few minutes but i need to know the best place to order a JE piston from. i have found them but not what i was looking for. i found a 12:1 compression for std. bore but i dont wana go that high. they had like a 10.75 compression which is what im looking for but it was not for std. bore please give me some help as quick as possible.

damn $150 for it! i didnt plan on spending that much on the piston. is there anything wrong with wiseco pistons? or another brand of piston thats cheaper than that but still a quality piston?

Wiseco pistons are comparable to stock... a JE or CP piston is a MUCH nicer forged piece often with better oiling and design. You are talking your piston here man - spend a lil extra and get something top notch; dont haggle with motor components...

really, thats like saying i wanna put straight gas in a 2 poke, its just dumb,if you dont have enough moola wait a bit

Uhh, it's really not like that at all. The wiseco is fine, I got a noticable difference from stock, and so far i have no complaints about it. I don't doubt that the CP and JE pistons are designed a little better, but I don't have any complaints about the wiseco.

My boss has dealt with wiseco quite a bit, and the pistons are very thin like the stockers. Save the pennies and get the 10.75, you don't have to get it from alba. Alba is actually a ripoff, just compare the OEM prices to the prices at the south seattle sports plaza in the links section, RIPOFF!!! Try to buy it straight from JE, my buddies 11 to 1 on the 400EX was cheap direct. If I was to buy a rocker arm, the pin, and oring from alba it would of costed over 70 bucks without shipping. From the seattle place it was just over 50 shipped 3 day priority mail.

well i have over $600 to spend so money is no problem but i bought the wiseco. if its junk then i'll get rid of it and get a JE. i talked to someone with the same engine mods as i bought and they said it really woke their engine up and had no complaints of the wiseco. so i'll check it out first hand and see if i like it.

The wiseco will do the job, but if you plan on doing high hp applications later with it than go with a higher quality piston.

Exactly - Wiseco isnt "bad" but a JE or CP is MUCH better as far as STRENGTH and OILING (cruical in Nitrous, Stroker, or High modded applications). I will take the better oiling and strength any day for an extra few bucks; but some people may not - either way you will be good. A JE or CP piston will just take a harder beating and last longer.

There is a reason for Powroll, Fourstroke Tech, Duncan Racing, Hotrods, and all the major other performance companies using you guessed it!!!

JE or CP pistons...

Same here, but they seem hard to find. I imagine finding rings for them would be a bitch!!! I've never heard anything bad about them...

I had a 12:1 arias in my warrior. It was awesome. No complaints......oh wait. They stopped making them and that is why you don't hear about them. They no longer even stock the rings. You have to either call them and get them to find you some or use yamaha as they are really close but may require some filing. I sold my piston on ebay because I couldn't find the exact rings and didn't want to chance mixing and matching. Lost noticeable power going to the 10.75 piston but availability for parts makes up for it!!!!!

As far as wiseco goes, awesome for 2 strokes as you are always rebuilding and replaceing!

I love my piston, when i ordered it from the company they seemed to have lots in stock but idk. looks like that ring job might be out for the winter.... ohh welll run her till she blows... then stroke!
