OK, I recently bought a bunch of new aftermarket parts.....one being an arias 12:1 piston. My question is this....the guy i bought from had no rings. I called arias and they said they no longer make the piston for the warrior. They said call white bros. ; I called and they said they had no remaining stock for rings. the guy i bought from said yamaha rings would work as long as i got them for the bore (.030) Anyone using one of these.....can you help. i don't want to put something together that is gonna blow up.....

Well I know a lot of warriors have problems handling 12:1 thats pretty high; probably why they stopped making the piston. For the HP youd get from a 12:1 (not to much more then a 11:1) it really isnt worth it.

The rings on my arias are thicker than the stockers. Maybe not by much, but enough to make a diffrence. And i would check that piston out, last time i checked they didnt make a .30 over piston but i could be wrong.

Do you have the 12:1 piston. If so, does it prove to be hard on your stock starter?

I have it but its not in....yet . It prolly wont be too hard on the starter, theres been more radical motors made than that and ive never heard of any problems.

Where did you get your piston from......I need rings but can't find any.

Ok, thanks. I called them but got no help. Maybe i just talked to the wrong people. I'll try again!
