banshee wont die

this is hard to figure out. my friends banshee starts but it wont shut off. we checked all the grounds. the teather key nor the red stop/run switch wont work. Any ideas on wat it would be?

Broken wire or something's unplugged.

we checked every thingall the conections. every thing is pluged inbut thee could be a broken wire in the wireing harness

Yep him and his brother .his brother slowed down and cut over to the left.and my buddy had it pinned in 6th.we just rebuilt the motor over winter not even n hour on a freshly rebuilt motor. the ****** wnet 15ft in the airbent the frame,disk,bars,and right foot peg.he has on of those nkg splicer things on his sprk plug wire hes had trouble with it beforbut he wont even try running straight plug wire

sounds like a wire or probably more broke in the harness in the wreck. i've had it happen on MX bikes before.

well i guess ill tell him to look in the harness. but i still dont get it itwill start it just wont die

on yamaha's (i know for sure... may be other brands but i've not tried) if you unplug a working key switch it'll still crank and run just fin. so if something has happend in the harness it's pretty much same as unplugging the switch
