I was wondering what would be the best performance camshaft for my warrior. I would like something that give me the most top speed.

thanks

a camshaft won't really give you more top speed. it will just give you more power so you can pull higher gearing that will give you more topspeed. if you just want more top speed and you don't mind loosing some torque, you can go a tooth or two higher on your front sprocket.

If you want a good top end cam go with a stage 2 web cam, thats what i have i'm very pleased with it. If you already have plenty of bottom end power, i would add the stage 2 cam and a 14 tooth front sprocket for a good top end gain.

i have a duncan .450 lift cam thats awesome for top end but it like all others hurts your bottom end. i think that most of the people that have gotten a .430 cam have been happy and they still retain some of your bottom end. just keep in mind that you have to change valve springs also when you change cams.

The stock cam def is a little on the small side, but don't get crazy if you still have stock springs and compression. A longer duration cam will only bleed off more static compression, and at 9.2:1 you don't want to lose much more.

i've switched to 20 inches tire so my frot sprocket is a 16 tooth to get my stock gearing. The hotcams stage 2 is the cheapest i've seen are they any good ?

How'd you do that math? 14 would put you back to the stock gearing ratio.

Stay away from hotcams stuff. They design it to work with the stock valve springs, so the cams give a milder performance gain compared to any other manufacturer. The stock springs are even too soft for the stock cam and can let the valves float, just think about what happens when you increase the lift. Then you're forcing those stock springs to compress more then they were designed to, to begin with, and they get even softer and could possibly break. Get a good cam like a Webcam or Powroll .430 or .450 with stiffer springs.

scuse me it's a 15 tooth to get the stock gearing i must use 14 front and 38 rear but 15 must be about the same. So my best choice would be a Web cam and i have to change my valve spring. Is there a specific brand that is better than another for my springs ?

Just go to magicracing.com and go to the web cam and towards the bottom of the page it has a kibblewhite valve spring kit there. Thats what you will use with the web cam. Thats the same valve spring kit i have also. The prices of the cam and spring kit has went up since i bought mine a few months ago though :-/ It went up a lot actually.

3 rear sprocket teeth = 1 front tooth...

2" in tire change is one sprocket size.

And i agree with the other guys get a good cam such as megacycle or webcam and be done.... other ones are cheap and yeild low power.
